By peers, for peers.
Our meetings are led by DBSA trained facilitators who have lived experience with mood & anxiety disorders. Whether it’s depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, panic disorder, postpartum mood & anxiety disorders, OCD, or an alphabet soup of different diagnoses, it’s likely that one of us has been there, too. Alongside therapy and medication, peer support is an evidence based and accessible way to help counteract the isolation of mental health conditions while building self-acceptance. Some of the things we talk about include navigating the mental healthcare system, medication changes, employment issues, family and romantic relationships, parenting, and coping strategies. We aren’t here to tell you what you should or should not do—instead, we’re here to help you nagivate your own path toward mental wellness.
