Where and when are the meetings?

Every Wednesday from 7:30-9pm at St. Andrew/Holy Communion Church in the Parlor. Parking is available in the church parking lot and a public parking lot is across the street.

What can I expect during a meeting?

We start by going over the group guidelines, which emphasize confidentiality. Everyone goes around the room, introduces themselves, and does a 2-3 minute check in (if desired). This could be a brief synopsis of what went on in the past week, a particular issue they’re dealing with, a question for the group, and/or a potential topic they want to bring up. After check in, we will address the various issues/topics that are brought up. We give newcomers a chance to share their story, and open the floor for discussion and support. Everyone is expected to “share the air” and give everyone a chance to talk.

Is there a fee?

There’s no charge to attend our meetings. However, we do “pass the envelope” at the end of the meeting to cover the cost of reserving a room and keeping our group operational.

Can Friends/Family attend?

Yes, we welcome friends & family to attend, with or without their loved one experiencing a mood/anxiety disorder.

Will anyone find out if I attend a support group?

One of our group guidelines is respecting the confidentiality of the space. Whatever is said in the room, stays in the room. We want everyone to feel free to vent about whatever is bothering them. Participants are free to exchange contact info with other members or sign up to be notified of cancellations or change of location, but there is no obligation to disclose any of this information, and wishes to remain anonymous will be respected.
